PROCESS
We've started taking images of smaller objects we felt are incredibly rich in texture, color or shape. The objects were found during weekend walks on the coast in Zeeland, The Netherlands.
We document these artefacts through a process of selection and photography where we translate these small fragments into sizeable prints. In doing so we enlarge and emphasise the beauty we find when we look up close.
Once the images are made the subjects are returned to where they were found.
CONTEXT
We find most of our subjects during early morning walks along the coast, in forests, dunes and beaches.
TOOLS
We use a combination of digital and analogue photography. Using medium format systems to capture the subjects in high detail.
PRINTS
The prints are executed in museum quality 315gsm Hahnemühle Baryta paper. We care as much about the subjects, the image itself as well as as the longevity of the material in which we execute the print. Hahnemühle offers beautiful papers that further enhance the colors.
